Below are some guides on making specific types of activities for your SMART board using SMART Notebook 11. The files used to create them are also included so you don't need to make any of them from scratch but you have the wherewithal to edit them or make your own to meet your children's specific needs. Have fun!
Introduction: using the guides
How to use guides.pdf
Flingability refers the fact that you can take objects on the Smart Notebook page and fling them to bounce off one of the sides, or top, of the page. Any object has flingability! It’s a made up word, so you won’t find it any other documentation. Well, not until the rest of the world realises that it’s a perfect word for this activity.

Whole Body Movement
The SMART Board activities within this book are all designed to develop control and co-ordination through the movements involved at the board. This guide, however, concentrates specifically on encouraging whole body movements. When creating these activities we much bear in mind that children develop at different rates and it is important to create an opportunity where they can all be successful.
You could change the numbers and change the objects to match interest and themes
Matching: visual discrimination
Cutting out parts of a shape to match. This works really well with textures and patterns.

Tracking from left to right (or right to left) is a key skill that children need to master. It precedes reading and writing and is something that can be practised in a fun way, often without the children even realising the underlying skill they are mastering.
